Externally looking like a 707, but pretty much a different bird, this why personnally I keep a separate record.

Never flown in one but had in 2001 the privilage of seeing P&W's C-FETB nee N7538A, a 707-023(B) which was headed north over Montreal presumably on a test flight. Noisy, smoky bugger!

Only flown on the 722 once, on a flight which turned into my worst landing experience ever, sometime during the 90's, MGM-ATL, landing on 27L in a major crosswind, allowing me (on the left side) to see the end of 27R, and then the left wingtip almost hitting the concrete. In end everything turned out fine, but the pilot chose not to open the cockpit door while the pax were still deplaning.

Air Malta

Yeah, I've flown an Air Malta 720 when I was young. Also visited the cockpit and the Pakistani captain was a really nice guy.

The 720s were the golden era of Maltese aviation - they were big, loud and graceful - a touch of class when compared to today's more efficient, but much more boring airliners...

In Malta we have the honour of being the world's only airport with two 720s!

One is ex-Air Malta 9H-AAM, which is sadly used for fire drills
