  • Wanna ride a 777

I'm planning on going home to L.A. this Christmas from Japan. I would like to arrive in L.A. on a 777 from Japan. I've checked on the various online ticket sites and I cant seem to find a flight that arrives in L.A. on a 777. My price range is no more than $1500 and it doesnt matter where I sit on the plane. Can anyone help?

OK just a little more info. Yes its round trip. My trip will originate in Okinawa, Japan. The only airlines that serve OKA are JAL and ANA. But yes i am willing to connect in NRT in order to arrive at LAX on a T7. American sounds like a good choice to me as ive flown them a few times before.

Why don't you jump on the new Skymark service to Haneda. From there you have many choices out of NRT to LAX, some of which are 777.

The Skymark service departs Naha at 0320 and arrives in Tokyo Haneda at 0540. Flights operate on a Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

If you book 49 days in advance, the ticket price is 9500 yen.

Is the KE flight from ICN-NRT-LAX operated by 772 or 744?

China Airlines also serves Okinawa, although you won't be on a 777

Skymark is a discount domestic airline operating in Japan between Tokyo and Fukuoka, Tokushima, Kagoshima, Naha and Kansai.

                SKYMARK-スカイマーク公式ページです。スカイマークはリーズナブルな運賃で快適な空の旅をご提供いたします。

You will need to be able to read Japanese. If you can't, get a someone or a travel agent to book for you.

Here is a list of other airlines serving Naha.

                404,那覇空港,那覇空港国内線,那覇空港国際線,空港,那覇,沖縄

I believe OZ has a 777 service to LAX.

Got a problem : not in English ! Otherwise by trying to navigate across the text in original version, I noticed MU. Here's my idea
Fly to either Beijing or Shanghai with MU and then connect on CZ/China Southern which flies TransPacifics to LAX with 772ERs.

                        空港へのアクセスに最適なリムジンバスの東京空港交通です。成田空港や羽田空港へ乗り換えなしでスムーズにアクセスできます。時刻表やのりばの地図、所要時間や運賃などの情報をご覧いただけます。

Here is the link for the bus company operating services between Haneda and Narita.

The reason why you use 2 airports is that Haneda is the main domestic airport for Tokyo and Narita is the main international one.

Let me know if you need help booking Skymark, (if you need help with Japanese.) Normally you book online, they send you an email, then you pay at a convenience store with cash, or online with C/C.

I added some English translations to the skymark schedule.

Thanks for all the info. BTW, do you know how far Yokota AB is from Narita? The reason I ask is because I may take a military flight from Kadena AB in Okinawa up to Yokota because I hear that Yokota AB is near Tokyo.

Not sure. I'd ask emu that question.

But I believe that Yokoto is slightly west of Tokyo, and Narita is East. Emu said the other day that it was a bit of a journey.
