The sound of a C-130, especially when the props reverse on landing. A very unique sound.

I love the sounds an Airbus makes on the ground. Many unique sounds durring the startup/taxi.

Saab 340 starting up. It makes this really neat low whistling noise that sounds like LOX is being pumped into the aircraft.

I love the rumbling and thundering sound of Boeing 747 classic like the 200 series on takeoff. It's just awesome, what a noise.

The old Rolls Royce Spey on the venerable F28. Huge roar from a small tin can.

The noise when you jump outta the back is pretty unique as well....

As for jets, the sound of a 707 on takeoff with P&W JT3Ds is pretty impressive, both inside, and out, especially on a -35F night in Edmonton a few years back. Straight pipe J57s even more so, though that sound is gone forever, as are a few below. A B52 taking off is a pretty noisy event as well.

RR Merlins in any plane are impressive..P51, Spitfire, Lancaster

CF104 (GE J-79)starting up on a cold Cold Lake morning..

P&W J57s spitting fire when going into full afterburner on the CF101 Voodoo.
