  • From Brussels to Atlanta?

I am flying from Brussels to Atlanta in May, roundtrip in coach. Many ways to do so, which one would you advise (cost being fairly identical for all of them, travel time not an issue, just looking for best IFE/legroom/service...)?

BRU-ATL (direct flight) with Delta 767-300
    BRU-ORD-ATL, with AA 767-300 transatlantic
    BRU-IAD-ATL, with United 767-300 transatlantic
    BRU-EWR-ATL, with Continental 767-400 transatlantic
BRU-AMS-(DTW)-ATL, with KLM 767-300 or NWA 330 transatlantic
    BRU-CDG-ATL, with AF 777 transatlantic
    BRU-LGW-ATL, with BA 777 transatlantic
    BRU-FRA-ATL, with LH 340-300 transatlantic

    Thanks a lot!

This is what I know about some of the choices:

Of 9 people I can think of who flew NW transatlantic, 7 said it was nowhere near as good as other airlines and they wouldn't choose it again, 1 said the service was fair but better on other airlines, and one said the service was good. So I wouldn't choose NW.

I've heard that BA, AA and UA have great atlantic service, and from what i've heard any one of them would give you a good flight. However, I have heard the 763's on BA and AA are nothing compaired to a flight on the 777, so I'm assuming being on a 763 doesn't offer as much IFE as the 777s do.

I've heard from one person Delta has fair transatlantic service(this person was in coach), and I've heard from another it's great, and so is the food(This person was in Biz Elite however).

I'm sure other people here know much more about this then I do.

CO, NW UAL, AF, and BA had PTV. Delta, LH and KLM doesnt have it.

I recommed you take CO or AF.

KLM flies ATL-AMS-ATL, but fares seem to be an arm and a leg!

I'd go with any European carrier except LH. The absence of PTVs really bothers me, especially when they purposely leave them out of newer aircraft. I've flown AF, KL, AA, and NW, and SQ across the pond, and AF was significantly better than the others. EDIT with the obvious exception of SQ, of course. What was I thinking when I wrote that?

Of those listed, AF or BA would be your best bet in my opinion.

i would not take BA because all the flights from BRU arrive in LHR and the ATL flt leaves in LGW

          -i would go AF
