Part I - Dresden (DRS) and Corfu (CFU)
After my last real holidays in October 2005 in Turkey and a short weekend trip in May 2006 in Mallorca, my next "long" holidays should take me this time to the Greek island "Corfu".
Vacation was already booked back in December 05 so that we got a special concession.
Because youīll find many pics taken at CFU online and the airport is known as "Spotter Eldorado" as well, I was rather looking forward to spend my time on the island with my parents.
Date: August 15, 2006
Route: DRS-CFU
Flight: AB 7636
Airline: Air Berlin
A/C: D-ABBD Boeing 737-86J
Flight time: 2h 10mins
Seat: 23F
One day before my flight I decided to acquire my seat because my parents donīt pay that much attention to be on the airport 2 hours before departure.
When I phoned to the the Air Berlin hotline I was told that I called to late for acquiring the seat for the flight to CFU. So I could only reserve the seat for the return-flight.
Some pics taken at DRS prior my flight.

D-AVRR, Lufthansa, BAE Systems Avro 146-RJ85
OE-LTM, Austrian Arrows, DHC-8-314Q Dash 8
D-ACHK, Lufthansa Regional, Canadair CRJ-200LR
N988T, Dassault Falcon 900 Nice bizzer parked on the apron.
There is nothing special to be mentioned about the flight because it was very uneventful. Only that I find it very sad that no real meal was served on this holiday flight. You only had the choice between two sandwiches. For an EuroShuttle flight it would be okay but for a holiday flight where people spend lots of money is very disappointing.
Therefore I ordered a so called "Snackbox" for 8. I decided for Cesars salad which would be a bad decision afterwards.
Unfortunately this salad was disgusting - I didnīt know that the dressing contains fish...and I hate fish.
So I wasted 8 for nothing even my mum didnīt want to eat this salad.

The best spotting locations seen on approach.
At the of an uneventfull flight a nice hard breaking on rwy 35 followed.
When I deboarded the aircraft it was already damn hot outside. Approximately 40 degress outside temperature. A great experience after leaving a a cold and rainy Dresden.
So we were brought by bus to the terminal. At the beginning it was nice little terminal but when you have to divide only two baggage claims with the pax of a full 752 from the UK, it gets very cramped inside....
While waiting for our suitcases I made these shots through the windows:
OE-LOF, Niki, Airbus A320-232
D-AHFP, Hapagfly, Boeing 737-8K5
G-BYAL, Thomsonfly, Boeing 757-204
This was part 1. In the next days there will follow some spotting reports from CFU because I have still hundreds of pics on my cards. And I rather want to part the great experience of Corfu with the users of JP.net.

Remark: Some pics are still in the upload queue. When they got accepted the small pics are updated by the thumbnails.
