  • ADL-CNS Jetstar with pics Part 1

    ADL-CNS
    Sunday 5 November 2006
    Airbus A320-232
    VH-VQL
    JQ968
    Seat 25F

This trip was booked way back in June because Jetstar were offering some flights for as low as A$79 one way, but most were booked out so we had to settle for a trip in November.
This will be my first flight with Jetstar. Initially when they had their free seating policy, I was a bit reluctant to fly with Jetstar as I imagined the boarding process to be a survival of the fittest free for all to get the best seats. However, they now have allocated seating so that is no longer a problem.
Checked in early to get a window seat. There was a small queue.

Since we were there so early I had a bit of time to do some spotting.

Takeoff was good and flight was generally smooth with the occasional bit of turbulence. Nothing is for free on Jetstar so I had a can of Lemonade and some Pringles chips which was around AU$6.00

Although there was not much to see while flying over outback Australia, because it is so barren. Load was around 90%.

Thanks for the crew for letting me have a look up front.

Also seen at Cairns airport was the Heavylift Shorts Belfast and a Qantaslink 717.

Cool photos Ryan... I like them.

Nice leather seats. Great plane. How was the seat pitch, I hope it was comfortable enough for the "short" trip.

#Heavylift, How big is their network, I haven't seen a single heavylift in two years, maybe they only operate australasia ? Hope you can enlighten me about the freightcompany. Thanks for sharing the photos.

The seats were comfortable for me and since I had the window seat I could lean against the wall.

From my understanding Heavylift operate freight contracts/charters in the Australia-Asia area with the Belfast and two 727s.
