we left for our flight at about 8:00am to get to the airport at 9:30 for our 11:30 Alaska Airlines flight to Orange County, CA. When my friends and I got to the check-in counter to check their bags we got out boarding passes and went through security and we walked around the airport for a bit until we decided it was time to go to our gate C-7. While we were walking down the C terminal we noticed that there were a lot of people lined up at the Alaska Airlines service center and I commented a flight must have been cancelled. The flight that was cancelled was actually ours Alaska 346. so after we found out that information we went and waited in line to get re-booked on a later flight. after about 2 hors in line we were booked on Alaska Airlines flight 488 a boeing 737-400 n/s to Orange County! since we were connecting in Oakland on the way down before we ended up getting in only 30min later than we would have before our cancelled flight so that worked out nice! We boarded our flight to SNA and were pushed back a little late taxied to Runway 28L and took off. while we were in flight we got to fly over some big lakes and mountains that were really nice to look at for our 2 1/2 hour flight. Once we were getting closer to SNA we started our descent and flew out over the ocean at just before sunset! it was a really nice thing to look at while flying with the sun reflecting off the water and everything. coming in to SNA we had a very smooth touchdown and taxied for a while to get to our gate #11. once we got off the plane we went downstairs to get our bags which took an hour and then off to the hotel! great flight and very comfortable all black leather seats on our 734!
