It was an America West 737-200, the plane smelled like sewage, the seats were torn and the window had a layer of dirt on it, my tray table had a layer of something sticky, and finally, the guy behind me got sick and the smell of barf mixed with the sewage smell.

That is the only bad experience I have ever had with them, they are one of my favorite airlines, I did forget to mention that that flight was early by 32 minutes!!! We left the gate about 12 minutes early!!!

The worst was a UA A319 that had used blankets, pillows, and headphones, and trash from perivous flights.

Delta Airlines 762 "Spirit of Delta" b4 the repaint. That thing wa downright awful. It reaked inside and several of the overhead bins popped open on take-off and on landing.
Try to catch me flyin dirty...

Probably one of the Northwest 757-200s I've been on. They've usually been in ratty condition with duct tape on the overhead bins, their 1980s logo on the bulkheads and hard, broken seats.
Also the ASA CRJ I took a couple days ago was pretty bad. It had a crumpled window shade that was nearly stuck shut and interior trim peeling off.

sounds like the airlines need to do some check ups!

The Fokker F28 I flew on with Canadian Regional back in October '99 from Calgary to Vancouver has to be the worst jet aircraft I've ever been on. The seats were pretty damn small, and the legroom was utterly bad - I don't think the pitch was greater than 28-29"! On top of that, it was a LOUD plane. Even the 737-200 is nowhere near as loud both inside and out.

                          Air Canada DC-9

Nothing (NO Thing) was as crappy as that loud and aging firecracker. I'm so glad that AC got rid of them so they can go through their bankcrupcy with some self respect.

I remember AC's DC-9s as being very clean and almost new inside.
I have fond memories of those aircraft. A little loud inside on take off and climb but once levelled off they were very quiet. Just stay away from the last row of seats, no windows

I think the mfg date on the door plate was early 70's
seats were beat, carpet was worn plus a stale smell combined with jet exhaust.
Glad it was only a 20 min flight.
