Hello All
Last last year I took my first ever flight out of the Whitsunday Coast Airport at Proserpine in Central Queensland.
The Airport only has two RPT flights per day - one Virgin Blue, one Jetstar, both to Brisbane. The Jetstar flight I took from BNE to PPP was operating in the evenings, however this has recently changed to a mid-morning flight. Flights to Sydney had previously operated but passenger numbers were low so these were canned.
I took this trip during the wet season and as you will read and see, there was a lot of rainy weather and a lot of flood water around... in fact it was even a possibility that I wouldn't have been able to make the Airport on that day due to minor flooding.
Also, the Airport is going through some redevelopments which will hopefully improve it and perhaps encourge more flights to the Whitsundays!
Trip report is here... http://tinyurl.com/3tafynp
Cheers
