  • Trip Report: Moscow - Casablanca - NY with Royal Air Maroc (B737, B763, B738)

We flew SVO-CMN, CMN-JFK and back. My friend flight attendant from AUA warned me that the flight with RAM would be a pleasant experience only if I'm lucky enough. Anyway we had little choice and time, and the stop-over in mysterious and fascinating Casablaca seemed to be exotic. To cut a long story short, the trip was fine and I would definitely choose this itinerary again if I had a chance. Moreover I'd rather stay in Morocco for a few days next time before leaving for the US.

Well, we started quite ok from SVO Terminal E after a short delay. If you're Russian you just dont pay attention to some minor deviations from the timetable.

Flight attendants were friendly and spoke three languages. You can see the food, it was quite tasty I should say. In addition to hot meals there were salads, cheese, cream, oriental sweets and juices.

In Casablanca we learned that Moroccan people are nice and friendly. The terminal was spacious and airy. We had to wait for 7hs. The next flight was bound for JFK. Our flight was shared with Delta, but operated by RAM B767-300 CN-ROW. I liked the condition of the cabin and the catering was great again. Departure and arrival were fairly on time.

At JFK Terminal 1 everything went smoothly from passport control to retrieving our baggage. We were pleased by the appealing service of the airport.

You can also take a look at the photos made during the inbound flights: JFK-CMN, CMN-SVO.
The flight from JFK operated by old and worn CN-ROG was delayed and we expected late arrival. Fortunatelly we arrived at CMN even earlier and we were in time for our connection to Moscow.

AT 220 en route from Casablanca to Moscow. The journey with RAM's new B738 was really pleasing and comfortable.
