Arrived at the airport by 11a.m. There was a big crowd waiting to farewell relatives and friends. Showed my ticket and passport, entered the check-in area.
I had paid for the luggage while booking ticket. No issues with weight.

Got my boarding pass, went for security checks and immigration. The immigration guy, asked if Singapore immigration would allow me to go out as I have next flight after 12hrs. Flipping through the pages, He took a while to stamp the passport. I answered his question, he let me go.

Security guy did the mandatory check, didn't stamp the bag tag.I had forgotten about this procedure. Had to go back from boarding area to get the stamp.
