    First Polish F-16 delivered
    Poland has formally accepted delivery of its first Lockheed Martin F-16 under a 2003 deal for 48 aircraft. The aircraft was rolled out at Fort Worth, Texas on 15 September. The first four aircraft will be ferried to Poland in November. Two aircraft the first of 36 single-seat F-16Cs and 12 two-seat F-16Ds under the Peace Sky programme were handed over earlier this year for pilot training in the USA.

    Poland asks US manufacturer to explain problems with new F-16s

    WARSAW, Nov 8, 2006 (AFP) -
    Poland has asked Lockheed Martin of the United States to give details of the technical problems that forced brand new F-16 fighter jets to turn around when they were en route for delivery in Poland, a defence official said Wednesday.
