First Polish F-16 delivered
Poland has formally accepted delivery of its first Lockheed Martin F-16 under a 2003 deal for 48 aircraft. The aircraft was rolled out at Fort Worth, Texas on 15 September. The first four aircraft will be ferried to Poland in November. Two aircraft – the first of 36 single-seat F-16Cs and 12 two-seat F-16Ds under the Peace Sky programme – were handed over earlier this year for pilot training in the USA.
