Aviation Nation 2007 at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada is fast approaching. The dates are Nov. 10-11th. Anybody from JetPhotos planning on going to the event?

Aviation Nation 2007 was good. The first day was sunny and warm. Today, sunday began sunny but early on we got some high clouds and slight breezes but still fairly warm. Thicker clouds moved in right before the Raptor demonstration at the end of the show. I got some nice photo that most will probably just end up in my personal collection: lots of back-lighting going on at Nellis. Hopefully a few will make it here and am looking forward to seeing more from other photogs...good lord, talk about lens envy! it just makes me sick! ha ha...

One thing that was pretty cool: I met a man that was the navigator of the KC-135 they had on static display. He told me on his first day as a navigator, they delivered it with only 9 hours logged on the books. I wish I had gotten his name. Happy Veterans Day Sir. Thank you for our freedom!

      Take care,
      Brad

        Hi Brad,

I was out there on Saturday along with Dan Valentine, Chris Sharps, and James Rowson, as well as Mike Carter, Ben Wang, Matt Cornell, and a few others. The weather, of course, was outstanding, as were the lines to get the buses back to the Speedway after the show!

What a great show! As Chris says the weather was awesome and there were some great displays, with the Raptor being one of my favourites in some great late afternoon sunlight. Nice to meet some new faces out there!
I hate to think what time those people at the back of the lines for the buses got home though!

Ah yes, the lines. When we were there a couple years ago, we went and got in line just as the last show was starting. We boarded the bus just as they were finishing.

Never had to worry about the lines for the buses as i was always there as Media. Even with that said, it could still be a slow trek to get off of the base.

Looks like the weather was great this year. Oh well i am planning on returning to Aviation Nation 2008. Now that i am finaly getting settled in after my move from Phx, AZ to Asheville, NC.
