    Cool

Cool. Any possibility that you could take a few pics for our viewing pleasure too?

Also, here is a report confirming the crash, although it doesn't identify the aircraft type. Calls it a "trainer".

TEHRAN (Reuters) - A fire broke out at Tehran's domestic Mehrabad airport on Monday and reports said a training aircraft had crashed but there was no immediate information on any casualties, Iranian media said.

"Parts of Mehrabad airport caught fire with dense plumes of smoke in the sky around it," Fars News Agency said.

In a separate report, it said a Russian-made training aircraft had crashed near the airport after experiencing technical problems. It said the two pilots parachuted to safety but did not make clear whether this was the cause of the fire. More here: http://abcnews.go.com/International/...ory?id=4648881

      Black Sky

I've just came back from the cermony. It was fantastic...

Air show began with IRIAF F5s and modified F5s, Azarakhsh ,Simorgh and Saeghe, They were flying in groups, each contained 3 fighters. More than 20 passed. After F5s, Phantoms made their flypass and their arrange was like F5s, then 3 MirgF1s. After a while two B747 Tanker, one B707 Tanker and the famous AWACS (ADNAN) passed the crowd. The most facinaing part happend by TOMCATS!!!!! it was unbeliveable, 13 Tomcats passed and all were in good condition. They did it with Mig29s and at the end F7s came into the scene.
Fighter demo ended by F7 flights and we saw around 140 fighter and bombers. Su24 didn't take part maybe because to avoid any risck about the possible problems that they planes may have and caused the crash.

Then planes were passed to their bases in Mashad, Tabriz and Isfahan and we saw several fighters made their turns one after each other to OIII. Tehran Sky was full of fighters, every were you turned your head you could see a group of fighters was flying. The helicopters were so much so I couldn't count them exactly.
The only emergancy rised was for two F4s that made emergancy landing at IKIA. They were so lucky to fly in an area where is near to 2 major airports. They landed safely.

From my point of view the only good point of this cermony was F1s and Tomcats flights which are the most vital fighters in Army structure. and we got sure they are completely EXISTED(for F1s) and they are operational(FOR TOMCATS). Although I saw F1s many times before in Mashad Airpost but this cermony was unique because of showing some planes that Iran always denied to have.

I didn't bring camera with myself cause I knew Iranian Spotters are there and I wanted to see the planes directly not in the camera visor. Iranian Spotters took lots of pictures and you'll see them soon on internet.

Is it the Saeghe which has the twin vertical stabilizers?
