    I'm a bit surprised that some are already withdrawn from service. Why is that, these airframe are not that old... And what are the result of the V-22 in operation ? Does some of you have some good information about it ?

    This happens most of the time with development airframes. They are not up to full spec so not worthy to be used in service.

    It could be that they will be updated in due course to be pressed into service if there should be a need for them.

    A good example of pre-production aircraft being witdrawn were the three Nimrod MRA-4's wich were used for testing etc. These were stored and were not intended to be used.
    But now the Nimrod is also gone....
