Have any of you taken a cruise before? which cruise line and where did you go? I've been on two (both Carnival) in the Caribbean and I'm taking one this summer that leaves from Barcelona on Royal Caribbean. I love cruises, they're probably my favorite way to spend a vacation

The closest I've been to an exocitc cruise was either:

-A ferry ride to Victoria, British Columbia via the San Juan Islands from Washington State (Seattle).

-A boat ride down the La Seine River in Paris, France.

Btw.. If I ever get on a Cruise.. It better be Royal Caribbean or Princess

      All blue water Ferries
Bastia-Nice, one time, M/S Esterel, CorseMéditérrannée shipping line
Calvi-Nice, one time, same ship as above
Dieppe-Newhaven, one time, MS Senlac, SeaFrance shipping line, once
Calais-Dover, Herald of Free Entreprise, Thorn-Torensen, one year before it capsized in Zeebruge !!!
Would like so much to make cruises if dotted with a good amount of ports of call, overwise, this is probably one of the best ultimate way to travel around provided the ship is NOT TOO large : no worry for
      -hotels
      -dinners
-easy to get mingled with fellow travellers

Agreed I think cruising is bar none the best vacation value around, food, entertainment, lots of great eye candy, and tropical destinations all included for one price. I've been on three cruises with Carnival and loved each one. I'm hoping to go on another this June or July in instead of going to Europe.

For anyone who cares I've been on the Carnival Destiny, Fascination, and Inspiration.

My family was talking about going on one, but we went to Aruba instead.

Closest I've even been to a cruise is the harbor tour in Charleston. When I finally take a cruise vacation, I'll either take an Alaskan cruise or a cruise down the Rhine. I'm not into the whole sunny beaches and islands of the typical Caribbean or Gulf of Mexico cruise. Have also thought about a Mediterrean cruise, as I wouldn't mind seeing the Greek Isles and maybe work in a trip to Sicily as well.

Closest thing I've been on to a cruise was the Catalina Express leaving from San Pedro to Catalina Island. I'm not too interested in cruises either, at least not now.
