As for me, I think Jon Krakauer is a facinating author! I strongly recommend this book to all highschool and College students:

Into the Wild: by Jon Krakauer

        Here is the prolouge-

In April 1992 a young man from a well-to-do family hitchhiked to Alaska and walked alone into the wilderness north of Mt. McKinley. His name was Christopher Johnson McCandless. He had given $25,000 in savings to charity, abandoned his car and most of his possessions, burned all the cash in his wallet, and invented a new life for himself. Four months later, his decomposed body was found by a moose hunter…

Its a book that faces the issues all highschool and college students face. The fact of not knowing who you really are and searching for your calling in life... I was immediately taken in by this book.. definately a superb book...

Of course, none of you are going to read this far into my post.. so.. i'll just leave it at this.. (Why do I waste my time like this?) Oh well.. Read this book! Krakauer has many other adventure style books that are Best Sellers, including Into thin Air.

God...I can't even remember the last time I read a book I wasn't forced to read.

I read a lot but don't have any favorite author. As of now I've been reading Herman Wouk- and I should say he's great!

                        Robin Cook.
"The Director also sets the record straight on what would happen if oxygen masks were to drop from the ceiling: The passengers freak out with abandon, instead of continuing to chat amiably, as though lunch were being served, like they do on those in-flight safety videos."

I would just like to FULLY agree with CLIVE CUSSLER as a choice, and also Matthew Reilly! Peter F Hamilton is my overall favourite though
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete
