  • what to do in SFO?

Well, The only reason I'm posting this is because I fly not too often (last flight was on January 1 2003) I'm heading out went from little small Ga to big old California.

    NWA
    Apr. 4 2003
    ATL-DTW-MSP-SFO

    Apr. 12
    SFO-MSP-ATL

So...what should I do in California for that wek? I can't leave the general SF area (South up to Pebble Beach, NOrth up to the south part of Marin Co., and Around San Jose, the bay, etc) I'm 15, so anything waaay out there is out..oh yeah! my mom's coming too.

Contrary to many airlines, we're getting meals on the flights!

Well, I wanted to check out a Gay pride march or a a war protest, but I know my mom would prob. push me in a trolley and get me out of there the moment she saw things like that. She'd probable put me in the trolley heading the mob though.... :P But hey...im sure there'll always be a really nice club that i can't get into to try and get into

I didn't know they had gay pride parades in San Francisco. The only one i've heard of is the Mardi Gras.
"The Director also sets the record straight on what would happen if oxygen masks were to drop from the ceiling: The passengers freak out with abandon, instead of continuing to chat amiably, as though lunch were being served, like they do on those in-flight safety videos."

I guess they have them everywhere nowadays. There is a gay parade in New York each year on St. Patrick's day in March. I have seen that a few years ago, and if there's nothing better to do, ATL Center, why not watch this.

It won't harm you too much, I guess, and your mum should not care too much about it .

              Regards,
              Peter

There's a lot you can do in San Francisco.
                -China town
                -Cable cars
                -Golden Gate Bridge
-Alcatraze (or however it is spelled)
-great seafood at the harbour (pier 39)
                -maybe an earthquake
                -gay parades, as mentioned
                ...

Why do American people have problems with gay people?

Because in public they are the most proper, devout and prudish nation of the world. But only in public!

Well, I'm vegetarian, so no seafood for me. As for the guy people...I've no problem with gay people. My mom...well I can't control her opinions. I've been to the Bridge and Chinatown, and the cable cars, and the Wharf, and stuff. Never been to Alcatraz, I don't know if I want to.
Is NWA's World GAteway in DTW the international concourse, or is a domestic/int'l terminal? In other words, will I be able to see it if I'm coming through from MSP?

                    Thanks,
                    ATL center

I think you'll find that most Americans have no problem with gay people whatsoever. Sure, some may not agree with the lifestyle, but almost everyone I know (and I'm from a state full of rednecks, Kentucky) accepts that people come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and preferences, and what they do is up to them.
