  • Only in the USA...

Naughty, naughty Mr. Arnett, don't you know that speaking out against the government will get you in trouble in some countries! Yes, even if what you say is true. See the article below...

Just another anti-war reporter that is being put away because he is saying the truth. The US military (and government) would better listen to him.

We have an old saying here: If the dog is hit, it will bark! I leave it up to you to determine who is the dog this time . BTW, it's not Iraq.

    Regards,
    Peter

News is that FOX also sacked one of their reporters, Spanish name, have not caught it, for obviously broadcasting the location of the unit he was 'embedded' .

JeffM, there's a chance that your level of information starts to improve .

          Regards,
          Peter

Arnett is a moron! This was his last chance to redeem himself from his debacle at CNN when he started to make up news about the tailhook scandal. I guess it's back to the African safari for Mr. Arnett.

                aerpix:

you're probably referring to Geraldo Rivera. He used to have some cheap talk show, until they scooped him up for more serious work.

                Interesting nonethelessQ

Arnett has a right to critisize his own country, so do 250+ million other Americans, it's stated in the constitution. I think it's great to see how some choose to exercise their rights.

Of course their are those hardliners who beg to differ calling this man a treasonist.

Hey Richard, If your going to try and quote our Constitution, that is great, but, we have Laws against doing and saying certain things that may help the enemy. And besides that, there was no statement from the government to Arnett, It was MSNBC that can't stand to loose any more rating points that decided to can him.

Who is calling him a terrorist?

I never said the govt. or anyone else per se called him a terrorist. But I am sure there are those who view him as being against his country.

Reportedly Arnett was hired by a British newspaper after being sacked by CNN.

                        Regards,

Geraldo has not been fired, I just saw him on tv. Looks like the back of his hands were a little red though...

Well, the Iraqis know where the US troops are without a stupid reporter telling them. Geraldo can still clean the toilets .
