  • US Congress suggest Bush ask Taiwan send troops

US Congress has send a suggestion to Bush, asking Taiwan to send troops to Iraq.

The bill indicated Taiwan is evaluating sending 5000 Marines to Iraq, working for US and allies. Taiwan can actually send out 35000 forces immediately.

It also says "as a democratic country (Taiwan), it shares the passion on democracy, freedom, and human rights".

The proposal is published in the Right wing conservative publication "Human Events". If Taiwan send troops to IRaq, US will increase troops to defend Taiwan if Taiwan under attack.

US and allies are facing problems in Iraq as Spain, Honduras and few nations has pulled out their troops. The congress recommends Bush to give a phone call to Taiwan President Chen Shui-Bian for the request.

However, Taiwan says it only has 15000 Marine Troops, not 35000.
