Adam,
While I resisted posting on the other thread, I had been reading it.
Thank you for the apology, it takes a real man own up to a mistake in public like that.

I don't use emoticons in my posts, which opens up the potential for what i post to be taken more seriously than intended. An example is if i go "i'm going flying" in a forum environment people could interpret that as being i'm scared about it, exited, aprehensive etc. Where as in "real life" people could tell straight away by my body language and the tone exactly what context i'm saying it in.
So i think because of this, it has potential to create problems through misinterpretation.

In the past few hours I have received a lot bashing I guess and I deserved every bit of it. I was cold hearted and immature when I made the remark about the troops in the War Against Terror. I am sorry for my childish way of presenting the idea, however, I still stand by the principle.
War is not fun. Loved ones are lost. But we must remember, Those men and women made a commitement to fight and even die for their country. They knew when they signed up that they would possibly be facing life threatening situtations.
Its not fun to see a loved one off to war. It hurts family and friends to think that a friend or family member is out there, in harms way, doing the countries duty to serve and protect a nation. War is not glamourous. People have died and more will die. Its a fact that we can not avoid and deny.
My Sincerest Apologies-
Adam

Adam,
Youre one of my most favorite members here. I think it was very brave of you to apologize for what you did. I can tell you did not mean what you had said, and I think I can speak for everyone else by saying we accept your apology.
