  • Canadian "sinking ship" PM's...

    1) Sir Charles Tupper:

    May 1, 1896 - July 8, 1896

Lead the Conservative meltdown which lead to the election of a Liberal Parliament which elevated Sir Wilfrid Laurier to be PM for the next 15 years.

    2) John Napier Turner:

    June 30, 1984 - September 17, 1984

After an almost uninterrumpted 16-year Liberal administration (wedged by the brief Conservative minority government of Joe Clark) led by Pierre Elliott Trudeau, he decided to step down. John Turner wasn't even a shadow of Trudeau's. He called the election that would eventually prop Brian Mulroney into office.

    3) Kim Campbell:

    June 25, 1993 - November 4, 1993

Brian Mulroney left the PM's office a very unpopular man, with a very unpopular Progressive Conservative majority. Needless to say, Kim Campbell led the Progressive Conservative destruction that gave Jean Chrétien his government for 10 years.

All this facts beg the question: Will the Right Honourable Paul Martin join the list of sinking-ship Prime Ministers???

Unfortunately, this scenario is looking more and more likely as the days move forward.

Sadly I see it happening. The Conservatives are surely gonna fuck up this country once they get in office. Last time they were in power deficits skyrocketed and it took the Liberals to bail us out. Everyone seems to forget the fact that the Liberals have led this country very strongly it's except for a small few who have been weeded out who were corrupt.
Watch our country turn to shit June 28.

        Like the prime minister himself?

You make it seem like it's some back-bencher from Nunavut.

I won't bother flashing all kinds of anti-Liberal quotes here, because really, it would accomplish nothing. Nothing I can say would change your opinion, which you are most certainly entitled to!
