gotta love Texas's summer storms
we were driving back from youth camp today (Friday) from Ruston, La, and as we were just about to hit either Waco or Temple, we got hit with some pretty nasty stuff, lightning everywhere and wind was pretty strong. we pulled under a bridge to decide what to do, so we advanced onward. not real fun with a couple of church vans pulling trailers with a couple of cars tagging behind. pretty nasty stuff.

speaking of storms, Houston has had over 44 inches of rain so far in 2004, the annual record is 72 inches set a couple years ago. If it continues like this, a new record will be set this year easily.
