That's probably true.

Many of my peers think AMERICANS ARE EVIL.

Then I ask them "why?"

And it stuns them.

I think it's just this state of mind that they have. First, most Canadian teens are not really aware of world affairs (most of my classmates don't know the capital of Germany or who Coffin Annan is). This lack of knowledge in current international affairs makes it very easy for the media to "brainwash" them.

I don't believe in polls. Remember the polls also said the Conservatives would win a majority in the election.

What a coincidence! My supervisor was just telling me about this article today. I am not surprised at all since many teens are misinformed...they don't take time to look at the facts. When I was still in Canada during an election year, one of my fellow high schoolers said a certain party was great because they said the rich was obligated to pay for the poor...go figure

BTW, who won the election in Canada if it has already being held? (yea, I am kind of out of the loop)

We have minority Liberal government with the Liberals and the New Democrats together being 1 seat short of a majority.

Minority governments in Canada last an average of 18 months, although the Prime Minister thinks he can get 2 years out of this government.

Teens everywhere are misinformed. Most care more about music, their looks, dating etc. That's why when I was younger, I learned to keep on the news, which I knew would affect me later in life. There are those of course, who do keep on the world and their nation. I know there are quite a few here too.
