Good containers are well isolated and very sturdy. Some people in France near Montpellier have come to the point of using them as cheap but quality homes. The most surface hungry use 5 or 6 boxes and more which have been paired and once worked inside offer living acceptable living-quarters. Others use them as beach side shops. The only big works is the link to a sewage and electricity + airconditioning. Otherwise, structural durability, isolation and sound proofing are excellent.
Personally, I think of this possibility more than a standard mobile home.
