From many years experience I think a number of factors determine what people think about breastfeeding in public.
A. Age of the person with the opinion (older tend to be more offended)
B. Shape of the woman breastfeeding (larger tend to be more offensive)
C. Amount of fuss woman is making (the less fuss the less offense)
By the way, it's not NECESSARY to breastfeed a baby in public it is CONVENIENT.
