  • Iraqis protest against US-led government for Iraq

Thousands of Iraqis have protested today in the streets of Baghdad against a new US-led government under Jay Garner, or under US-backed oposition leader Ahmed Chalabi (Iraqi National Congress), who is not widely known in Iraq.

Notably, the most important oposition group did not even take part in the talks held at Al-Nassiriyah in the south of Iraq.

At long last the first signs of democracy in Iraq!

    Regards,
    Peter

Pro-American "liberation"? These are the first signs of trouble. I hope Bush can take some time outta his Syria-bashing to realize this and make it so that it is the IRAQI's who are happy.

Well, you all know that I never claimed that the US went there to 'liberate' the people of Iraq. I find it notable that after a few days only there are anti-American signs among the Iraqi people. This is really noteworthy. I believe that if the Iraqi people were really so happy like the Americans try to tell us, then this would not have taken place.

      Regards,
      Peter

I just hope that in the end everything works out for the good of primarily the Iraqi people.
