For obvious reasons, ATL would be perfect. But I will put this one in as my suggestion:

    Las Vegas.

      Somewhere European...anywhere European.

CDG for the Paris Air Show would be awesome
However ZRH would be cool also

One of the things that came to mind was the Farnbourogh (spelling?) air show next year...
        I dunno.
        Other ideas:
        LAS
MKE (in conjunction with the Airliners 2005 show)
        MIA

How is MCO for access? And KMEM? Shooting FedEx heavies all day would be nice.

I think we should consider a place where theres a guarantee that a majority of people from this site or whoevers interested will and can show up
            A few things to consider
            * Most of us are students which means we are on a budget
            * Also the place should be decided before the end of the year so people have time to save up and make plans
            * And we can have several meets. For example all of east coast meets somewhere, the middle states can meet somewere, and the west can meet somewhere, and the same for Europe. Then we can all share pictures! Think about it.... its kinda boring to see 20 same pictures of one plane!
            * Finally i believe for the east we could do JFK, PHL, or MIA. But according to the facts JFK does get the most international traffic on the east.
Only the dead have seen the end of the war-Plato

Without reading any of that stuff leading up, I knew you were gonna say JFK again...

Hell, I knew that just seeing he replied to the thread!

But seriously, it's stupid to have 4 or 5 different meets. The whole point of a meet up is for everyone that doesn't live near each other to go out and meet everyone.

How is PHL for spotting? Security? Traffic? With WN and US starting a proverbial bloodbath, a cheap ticket should be easy to come by.

Also, I'll be moving to Pittsburgh early next year so that would be perfect for me.

                    Exactly.

and fly1346, stop suggesting JFK/LGA...it's getting pathetic

I think a good question would be if some people who don't get along on the web would get along in person.
                      Might be fun to watch.
Sorry, couldn't resist. I try to get along with everyone.

How about COS :P Seriously my vote would go for either Tokyo Narita, Amsterdam, New York (JFK) and LaGuardia, or London Heathrow.

GBG, yall would get to see our Cessna C150 and if your really lucky, the Citation! No wonder everyone is moving from this town

On a serious note, if it happened in June, I will be in LHR/LGW and later Edinburgh. Ill place my vote for LHR.
                            It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand.

Hey, one of my flight instructors is from Galesburg. The FBO in Iowa City is a branch of the one there, or something like that.

And as far as a meet goes, yea I might go, but all depends on when and where.

CDG next June during the Salon International de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace sounds nice but the ticket prices from CLT isn't looking good ($500+). Also, in addition to the paying for travel and accomodations, you have to pay admission to the air show (correct me if I am wrong), which adds additional cost. I don't know if I can do it since I am setting aside money from work for college (and you know how much $$$ you have to pay just to get a degree these days). I'd pick LHR if I had to go to Europe....for one thing they speak English :P

For me, the closer to home, the better Another vote for MIA, ATL or LAS.
