Jp.net Meetup this week!

Just wanted to let ya'll know, There will probably be a Jp.net meet up friday/saturday (Aug 6 or7th) in Raleigh, NC (KRDU). Running from noon-6pm at Raleigh International Airport!

RDU get this traffic:

AirTran
America West
American (777 also)
American Eagle
COEX
Delta (757 ) & Connection
Independence Air
Northwest
Southwest
USAirways

And Typical GA Aircraft!

Raleigh Intl. average around 660 ops per day, of those a third are commercial carriers. So, this wont be like TriCities where you go to shoot one plane and go home. We should have decent amounts of traffic and a relaxed atompshere.

We should also have ramp access at the end of Runway 23L providing great lighting (Afternoon) on jets approaching 23L... assuming th 23's are the runways in operation.

Please post if you are interested as I have not made FINAL arrangements.

I may do it if it is a Saturday (only thing I dread is the 4 hour drive from SC). What kind of zoom do I need to shoot there? I only have a 28-105mm lens.

How did you manage to get ramp access?

Ramp Access because I am flying to RDU from Lynchburg. We will park at Southern Jet FBO.

We will be flying into RDU around 1pm and staying till about 6-7pm. We will hopefully get a Crew Car and go out for lunch/dinner. We will probably do a little walking, so bring your walkin shoes and some water!

1 hour 20 minute flight from PIT and PHL, 20 minute flight from CLT.

I will be here for this one for sure, since I missed all you guys in LAX, but rest assured, this one I will not miss!!!

Friday me and Adam will be flying in to RDU. He's at work right now and I leave at 9am tomorrow to drive down. So tomorrow 8/4 probably shoot LYH in the pm. ROA on 8/5 and RDU on 8/6. I drive back on 8/7 and Adam leaves for TRI.
