    OK I found this

    Toshiba Satellite A65
    Intel® Celeron® processor 2.80GHzª
    Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
    256MB PC2700 DDR333 SDRAM
    15" XGA Display (1024 x 76
    ATI® Mobility Radeon® 7000 IGP w/64MB shared video memory
    60GB HDD (4200 rpm)
    DVD/CD-RW
    Integrated Atheros

    $ 1079.00
    How is Intel® Celeron® processor 2.80GHzª? Is this good, and the system how is it? Is this worth the price?

    Thanks

      Avoid Celeron, avoid Celeron! Horrible chip cache, and generally much poorer performance than the AMD Athlon - staggeringly so in fact.

      Anything but Celeron, and Duron isn't much better

            Celeron = the suckness.

            AMD Athlon XP = the coolness...

            *me has Athlon 2600XP+ @ 2.1gHz*

                Again Centrino, you will get longer battery life and is the fastest processor on the market. I get 6hrs and 5min of battery life with my centrino, the computer runs much cooler the a P4. Centrino also allows for lighter and thinner laptops. Celeron, bad choice, Celeron is a very old chip that actually many programs cant run on.

                  I have a Dell laptop with Pentium 4 processor. I never used it outside home, so I don't really know about the battery. But for the rest, I am really happy with it.

                        I installed XP Pro in 9/2001 and didn't have to re-install it since then - it works just great. OK, I get the occasional little IE/Windows Explorer meltdown, but that's it, blue screens are a thing of the past. I use Norton AntiVirus, AdAware, Spybot, the itty-bitty built-in Windows firewall and that Windows HD cleanup thingy to keep my PC clean, and that keeps working. I should add that my internet access is via a Linux-based router that blocks almost everything except a few ports (not that I notice any problems due to that), so a hacker would need to get around this first of all.

                        As for the CPU, check out the Pentium M/Centrino technology.
