American Airlines is thinking of suspending flights from MIA at around 12 noon or earlier.
About the track, all the forecasting models are very similar and bring Frances across Florida and a little into the gulf then north again. Also they predict the slowing down of the forward motion.....which in english means...it svcks because it will create a lot of damage.

Yes, I know there's already a thread on the hurricane, but I thought I'd start another one instead of making the existing one like a 2-mile-long freight train.
Well, the 11 AM advisory's out, and the hurricane now has 145mph sustained winds. I looked at the forecast discussion-looks like it's gonna remain on a WNW track for the near future.
The hurricane force winds extend 80 miles out from the center (crap!) and the tropical storm force winds extend more than 100 miles out from the center. So no matter where you live in FL, it looks like this is gonna rustle the leaves on trees, if not give a complete thrashing. This one mean sucker.
And I wouldn't be surprised if it intensifies further, that's definitely noy out of the question yet (I hope to God it doesn't).
Oh well, I know some people from OU who have gone down there for research. Let's pray they get what they want and come back safely! And also for all the other folks in FL as well.
