Great Falls, VA (pics)

I went to Great Falls on the Potomac River today because I didn't really care about the jets at BWI.


Looking Northwest on the Potomac.



And an awesome closeup of the water flowing over the edge.


It was worth it to ditch BWI...

The pics are pretty cool, but when i saw "Great Falls"...i guess i was expecting something..uh....greater.

Actually, I didn't post a picture of the falls. I was about 1/2 mile upriver.

Late summer is a bad time to see the falls though, the water level is quite low.

Nice pics...I would try that 2nd one near sunset with a really low shutter speed

Yeah Clovis, the park closes at dark though so you would have to take the pic and then run like hell back to the car.
