  • I love Tokyo

Anyway, everybody seems to be doing posts about places they go, so I figured I'd post some pictures that I took in Tokyo this summer after I got my 300d, hope you enjoy.

I dont know what this building is, but its in Shinagawa, and I really like it. I seem to take pictures of it every time I'm in the area.

The Hotel Nikko Tokyo located on the manmade island of Odaiba

The Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Skyline as seem from Odaiba. It serves as a nice focus for pictures.

The sun setting behind the industrial/port section of Tokyo.

Rainbow bridge again as the sun began to set.

again, but this time with a few people enjoying the view

One of Tokyo's many neon signs

30 second exposure of the Tokyo skyline. The best picture I took all day.

I'm not really sure what this building is, but its also on the mandmade island of Odaiba

Tokyo Tower as seen from the base of Roppongi Hills' Mori Tower. I was going to go up the tower to get some shots, but they said I could not bring my tripod with me, the pictures would have ended up lookin bad, so I didn't bother.

30 second exposure of crazy Tokyo traffic.

That's it, hope you enjoyed them.

Okay for a proud Kansai guy like myself, I do not know too much about Tokyo. :P

The 9th photo of yours, or the third from the last photo is the building of Fuji Television network. Every Japanese know this

The boat on the seventh photo, or 5th photo from the last. Every year some Japanese company celebrates their "company fest" with their employees on that boat and people sing and drink on the boat in Tokyo Bay.

Thanks for the info J-Bird. If you're up in Tokyo any time from about Dec 19th until mid January let me know as I'll be back there for winter break then. I'm not actually Japanese, but my family lives there. I must say that I think I like Japan more than my own country, can you guys adopt me?

No problem Emu. Not going to Tokyo anytime soon. But if you do come to Kyoto, drop me a PM

Eh..??? Your family is in Tokyo? I am sure they can adopt you if you wanted. You can probably apply to become a naturalized Japanese citizen or.... another way is to marry a Japanese girl

Funny thing is Japanese wants to go to the USA and not much people want to live in Japan....!!?? I am lost......

Doh, I was in Kyoto this summer for a few days. What a nice city. I love Tokyo, but it was nice to get out of the city. My family is in Tokyo, but they are American as well. I would have no problem with marrying a Japanese girl, but finding a flying job in Japan would be hard not knowing much Japanese, but that could change of course. Now if only the girls didn't run away from me
