The car was
-very rare, a real masterpiece, in mint condition and running.
-hand assembled and custom made
-the manufacturer was America's Rolls Royce (or Maybach) only Pierce Arrow came up with even more luxurious cars
I am not entirely surprised to see this one commanding the price it was auctioned for.
