  • Malaysian 777 Tailstrike in ZRH - Question

    Hi There,

I have a question: does anyone of you know when the MH 777 will be repaired after its tailstrike in ZRH?

At this time the aircraft is still parked in ZRH where you can see the suffers from the tailstrike - I made this picture aprox 1 week ago:

aircraft was delivered to MH on June 22, 1999 - still in ZRH after its tailstrike during take off on July 28, 2004 (see picture ID 331903). 9M-MRJ. Boeing 777-2H6(ER). JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

Hope that anyone knows more ...

    Thanks guys for your help,

    greets right now from Singapore,

    Marcus

      Hey Marcus,

Thanks for taking the photo, well done!

I read A.net the other day and they said that MAS is waiting for the rear bulkhead to arrive from Boeing. It will be repaired by Boeing team, MAS engineers and local Swiss engineers at ZRH, from 4 Sep and the aircraft is scheduled to be released on 2 Oct. There after she will return to Subang airport in Malaysia (former KUL airport) and complete the final inspection before she is allowed to fly again - standard procedure.
