  • Train Simulator 2 is no more?

It was cancelled last April. Do you think it is too difficult to make a 2.0 in the game?

microsoft gave up on Kuju, and finally cancelled TS2 when they realised that FS makes more money, but there are more and more add-ons coming for TS1, that you could look like it's TS2, except for the cool features they would have in TS2, like passenger going in and out of the train, opening doors, etcetera
and there is a commercial train sim coming, that looks like TS 2, as i have seen in the demo

    btw i have TS1

      I don't need Train Sim...
For that all I do is go to work...

And as an aside, the mechanics and realism of MS Train Simulator were so far off the mark that it wasn't even funny...
I wound up using it mostly for making neat derailments.

George is right, the realism of the "out of the box" version of TS was horrible.

I was able to make some mods to one of the after-market routes which got things about as close to real as you can get, but that took quite a bit of trial and error.

Of course I'm right. I do it for a living. :P
Speaking of which, I need to get going for another fun night at the CN.

there are some neat modifications available, and with trains from ''Chris Longhurst'', all dutch trains , comes self-made sound and cabs , and i say, only the standard trains suck, i modified them all

pullin4u, what kind of engineer is required to 'drive' the train? civil engineer or mechanical?

                    Neither. Locomotive Engineer.

Does anyone know where to download free add-ons for MSTS? (like all the planes, scenery, traffic, etc. available for flight simulator)

Also, could one of you "pros" explain how to "install" them?
