there is nothing like scenery, those are the routes , traffic is edited in the ''carspawn'' file ( im a TS geek ) but there are some sites i know:

if you want g a good german route, i recomend ''wupper express'' with fitting loco's from www.northern-germany.de or buy some addons like protrain and german railroads (all german/austrian)

depends on what you buy, i bought two aerosoft's, hoellenthalbahn and Highspeed trains, hoellenthal bahn kicks ass, but highspeed trains suck, just look at this:
