I was working on some practice math questions for the PSAT, but after trying it for many minutes I gave up, and looked up the answer and still dont get it. Here it is:
18. The ratio of x to t is 5 to 8. If t = 3k, what is the ratio of x to k?
(A) 3 to 8
(B) 5 to 3
(C) 5 to 8
(D) 5 to 24
(E) 15 to 8
Can somebody explain how they got (E) as the answer? There must be something I'm not doing right.
