I have been a life time fan of the Montreal Expos and I was just wanted to hear other peoples thoughts on what is going on with the team.

Actually, I don't know too much about them, except for the fact that they tend to loose games against the Braves , and that for some reason last season some of their "home games" had to be played on San Juan if I recall correctly.

You mean them moving to Washington DC? Here's what I think...

I think it sucks for their true fans like yourself to lose their team. I think there could have been a better choice for a new location, not so close to an existing team. Right now though all I really care about is the Astros making the Wild Card spot. Hopefully Roger Clemens can complete the Astros sweep of the league-leading Cardinals tonight.

I never understood the connection between Quebec and baseball. I mean here is a sport that is the ultimate in Americana in a land that despises almost anything Anglican and especially American. I for one am estatic to see baseball returning to the D.C. area, bring on the Senators!

sucks for the expos. for a team that competes off and on throughout the years, with as low as a payroll that they've had. but, attendance has always been low for their games. not much on the dc area having another team (counting the orioles). personally, i think they could have found a better spot for them.

The Toronto Blue Jays have been a fairly popular and successful team in Toronto. But then the Blue Jays also have had some good seasons, especially considering they have made it to the World Series and won!!

Since I have lived in Alberta and Ontario before moving to Oregon I have to agree with you!!
Having lived in both Canada and in the US, I have noticed that the typical American view of the world is that America is the world, where in Canada you realize that Canada is just one country that is a part of the world and that the world does consist of many countries.

Sad for Montrealers who are fans, but then that represents a very tiny minority of Montrealers. Mtl is all about Hockey, hockey and hockey.
