  • Dial-up + nudy sites = a call from the ISP

Yes its true. A local ISP has been calling people when they look at porno. It was an article in the paper, but i dont have a scanner

Anyway the ISP will call your house when you look at porn on the internet!
could you imagine what the phone call would be like?

    Guy "Hello?"
ISP "Hi sir, we have a trace of pornography going onto your computer"
    Guy "and..."
    ISP "your looking at porn"
    Guy "aaaaand!"
ISP "your looking at porn, we just wanted to make sure none of your childern are looking at it right now"
Guy "If my boy is lookin at naked lady porn, im happy that hes not gay so dont call, but naked guy porn shows up on your computer, you give me a call!"

It is a violation of privacy.

I bet the privacy groups have gotten to work on this... and rightfully so.

I bet this ISP will be bankrupt soon as when people hear about this they will just cancel their accounts.

Oh, for those of you who are wondering how they are doing it, technologically, it's simple. All the "private" information is readily available, you just have to look. Remember the signs signatures that tell you about your IP and ISP, same thing...

And if you think you are all secure because you have DSL....think again.

No, that's what the Internet was invented for, just go ask Al Gore!

191 Australian men have just been arrested for downloading porn.

                              CHILD PORN

Not only that .. it's no invasion of privacy for an ISP to log what you do, they have to do it by law .. AND hand it over to the police upon request. So whatever your doing on the net, stick to within the law unless you want to get busted.

PS: AFAIK crusing standard porn sites isn't illegal ......
