Starbucks doesn't count. They are a "coffee shop" more than a "donut shop". If you counted them, then you'd need to count Second Cup, too (etc.).

Krispy Kreme baby! Since of the four choices, only KK and DD are in the Atlanta area, I went with the better choice. Having heard about how good Tim Hortons is, I think they need to put locations in every NHL city.

The Starbucks around here that have doughnuts have Krispy Kreme. You can get Krispy Kreme doughnuts in a variety of places around here, from grocery stores (one chain actually replaced their bakery doughnut case with a Krispy Kreme case) to gas stations, to coffee shops (even though many of the newer Krispy Kreme shops are really like coffee shops). When I was in Vegas, it seemed like every casino had a Krispy Kreme stand of some sort in them, many of them were just cases at other shops, but I did see an actual setup inside of Circus Circus, with the doughnut theatre and such.

The only one of the choices I've tried is Krispy Kreme. And the one time I had their donuts, it tasted like the sugar was just pouring from the donuts. I haven't had one of their donuts since.

We have a really good local chain called Shipley's Donuts. They only have about 4-5 stores, but I think they have enough loyal customers that KK won't run them out of business. (We just got KK about 6 months ago)
