With the Iraq war it's just to difficult and dangerous to distribute Iraq's oil in ideal volumes, with the pipeline bombings (almost certainly caused by americas occupation) and the breakdown in Infrastructure caused by america etc.
Iraq has the second largest oil reserves, so if america got it's ass out of a country it was illegally invading, then oil production and distribution would return to normal and hence fuel prices would go down.
i'm suprised that oil prices haven't really played a part in the upcoming elections, with oil for december sale at $55 a barrell and heading upwards i'd hate to see what happens when it get's to $70, that'll = more money being spent on fuel and energy bills by US citizens and less money for other things.strange what some people find imporant to there nation.
next trips
USA/DXB August.

the higher the barrell price gets, the higher the inflationary effect, and that is something you should be very concerned about.

Yes Bush wants to drill in Alaska, in an environmentally sensitive area that Alaska shares with the Yukon.
Canada opposes drilling in this area as it will be detrimental to the animals and the environment, not to mention the difficulty of moving the oil out of Alaska to the lower 48.

Oh, and for all you morons who think Halliburton is making money off the high price of oil, think again. They are NOT an oil company like ExxonMobil or BP. They are a service company. In other words, their job is to maintain equipment and provide support for their clients. Of course why let facts get in the way of a good kool aid drinking conspiracy theory?

Meanwhile, Australia and New Zealand have among the freest and most competitive economies in the world. And the vast majority down under strongly support that.
If you’re still scratching your head trying to figure out what this all means I’ll make it simple. Know what a leftist is before excessively using the word and making a fool out of yourself. And you don’t have to be a leftist to disagree with Bush’s dodgy agenda.

Ahhh yes another thread at JPnet descends into political debate.
I will be sooooo glad when the elections are over with.
But I suppose then JPnet'll be full of threads complaining about whoever wins.
Just instigating, guys. It is good to read all the different viewpoints from around the world...I know what mine is, but I find it interesting how one's location on Earth results in differing views...
