  • what makes your town famous?

    This is NOT famous people, but rather something. I will start off:

    Haines has the largest Eagle gathering in the World :P

    Oshkosh is home of the EAA airshows...
    And the headquarters for Oshkosh B'Gosh clothing manufacturer...although they have totally dissed the town by pulling out all manufacturing and shipping it to Mexico and Central America...
    but I won't go there.

            -Other things: the Chocolate Festival, Medieval Fair

                  What makes Princeton famous? Hmm...the University, the downtown area...yeah, that's pretty much it.

                  Now what makes New Jersey famous...that's a different issue, you see, we have NYC, Philly, and Elsie the cow.

                            Hamburg:
                            Biggest port of Germany, second biggest in Europe, and on it's way to claim the #1 spot.
                            The oldest airport in Germany, if not the world, at 94 years.
                            The "Reeperbahn", best hoes in the entire world .
                            Airbus .
                            Stone-age enviromentalists blocking everything that could secure jobs .
