Well I wasn't going to post these in a thread but they got rejected (larger versions) by the powers that be. So I guess I'll share them here for y'all.
Being this close to DFW I'm fairly sure the plane is a AA MD-80.

With my Nikon D70 I used my Nikor 70-300G AF lens. It's the only long zoom I have right now. Not great but satisfactory enough for all my daytime aircraft shots.
It's a collage I put together with Photoshop. Each pic was only about 1/60 of a second or less. Since I had no filter on, I had to dial down the exposure compensation to -3.5 stops to keep from getting overexposed.

I see...I thought maybe you had something covering the lens that you removed periodically while doing a long exposure. Looks nice anyways.
