The last five seasons before this one we were 5-45 combined, not having a season with more that 2 wins. We are 5-4 this season entering the last game of the season this Friday.

our game is Friday night here in Burnet, so come down if you can. a little word of warning, though, be prepared to walk a ways from parking your car. also be prepared to stand because it IS going to be s.r.o. just about always is. so i encourage you to come if you can.
might even have the news chopper land again, like it did friday .

Carthage (one of my former schools) is playing for the Class III title in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse right now. Score is 20-20, should be a great game to watch...

Our football team (Jamestown Eagles) has had one of its best seasons ever but we won't be making the playoffs. Since 2000, not including this season, we are 5-45 overall with our best season being 2-8. This year we are 5-4 with one game remaining against our biggest rival. I can't wait until next year when I play. I couldn't this year because I had knee surgery

well, Burnet's in the playoffs again. being our first year in 4A, and going 7-3,3-2 (all 3 losses were on the road), we made it to the playoffs thanks to Lake Travis knocking off Dripping Springs 42-35. it ended up being a 3-way tie in our district with us, New Braunfels Canyon, and Lake Travis all with records of 3-2, New Braunfels Canyon having a certain spot in the playoffs. so, we managed to gain a spot in the postseason. i'm pretty happy.
being in the playoffs isnt anything new to us, though this was our first year in 4A, so we have to step it up a notch.

oh yeah, those 3 losses were also our first regular season losses since 2001, going 14-1 in 02 and 03, the loss being the 3A state championship game.
