A SECOND SOLAR FLARE...WHICH ERUPTED ON SUNDAY...WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT
THE EARTHS MAGNETIC FIELD OVERNIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY. LATEST DATA AND
REPORTS INDICATE THE AURORA BOREALIS HAS SHIFTED WELL NORTH TO ALONG THE
U.S...CANADIAN BORDER AND WE WILL LIKELY NOT SEE IT TONIGHT. WE MAY HAVE
ANOTHER CHANCE AT SEEING THE NORTHERN LIGHTS ON TUESDAY NIGHT.

damn, i wish i was in montana now. the best lights ive seen was when we were flying from msp-fca. pitch dark outside, and got a sweet view from 35000 over central montana.

Ok, new solar storm just starting up. Activity increasing...
And I have clouds right now...but they will be gone in an hour or two if the forecast holds.

So it must be a east/west thing rather than north/south.
Keep your eyes peeled tonight too, as another salvo arrives from the sun and should also cause a solar storm. If I see anything tonight I will post it here...

Lotsa meteors out there too.
And Adam, they are meteors until they actually hit the earth's surface. From that point on they become meteorites.
