    REPORTS INDICATE THE AURORA BOREALIS HAS SHIFTED WELL NORTH TO ALONG THE

    damn, i wish i was in montana now. the best lights ive seen was when we were flying from msp-fca. pitch dark outside, and got a sweet view from 35000 over central montana.

    And I have clouds right now...but they will be gone in an hour or two if the forecast holds.

    I'll keep my eyes peeled but I really highly doubt seeing anything this far south!

    They are not meteorites unless they hit the ground, in the atmosphere they are meteors.

    The aurora have a nice green hue here right now... cool looking stuff!

    Yes. You would be seeing shimmering green and red lights, mostly to the north of your location.
    Lotsa meteors out there too.
    And Adam, they are meteors until they actually hit the earth's surface. From that point on they become meteorites.
