I have just read and signed the online petition:

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might

Its a pitition to limit/less the motorcylce programs and home inprovment and bring back wicked shows like mayday and flightpath and others. If your not a Canadian, sign it anyway

Discovery Channel and TLC (The Learning Channel) haven't been following their briefs for years. Trading Spaces should be on HGTV, not TLC. All of the gearhead shows need to be on Speed Channel, American Casino can stay!

I like the Discovery Channel and all, but there's too much motorcycle stuff so ive kinda strayed from it. love monster garage though. they need to have more of a variety than what's on. the past few days they've had shows on about tsunamis, but we pretty much understand why.

The only show that I watch on Discovery channel now is 'mythbusters',since they took "flightpath" away. TLC...don't even get me started, I loved it when it was actually a LEARNING channel. I used to watch the show 'medical detectives' all the time (since I was around 7 or 8 years old)on TLC now it's not even on anymore, thankfully it's on mystery channel.

I know I didn't imagine this but didn't TLC once run a marathon of a show called 'terror in the air' or something like that? It's been bugging me for a while. It would have been around the time TWA 800 went down because that was one of the crashes I was fasinated with (considering I was only eight)

not to mention 'Discovery Wings' becoming a military channel. Speed started out the same, aviation-related programming but it all disappeared after two months of reruns.

Yeah terror in the skys week in 1996, right before I went to Hawai'i. Hope they have it on DVD, TLC should be called TSC, Trading spaces channel.

Okay, now i'm mighty pissed off, Starchoice (don't know about other providers) took away my Discovery Wings and replaced it with a Military channel (now theres 2 channels that'll show nothing but Hitler). Although I should be thankful it wasn't a channel dedicated strictly to trading Spaces which probably will happen soon with my freakin luck.
The weird thing is, I told my mother and she said that they've been advertising the switch for months...i'm in front of the t.v most of the day doing homework and I didn't see one ad saying it was switched (I feel like Homer in that Simpsons when Springfield gets 2 area codes and Homer doesn't know despite what Lenny and Carl say)

Amen to that. Mythbusters xmas specail has been replaceing the other half of the season. Xmas is over, and theve aired it about 17 times already AFTER XMAS.
