Though you have not been that active anymore around here . Nevertheless, I agree on Asian cars, or as they are commonly known here, "Reisschüsseln" (Rice bowls).

Checked in with my dad back in Western PA and it looks like they only got a foot of snow there, so it wasn't too bad there!

At some point, it seems the continuous snow falls were set to cover the house from which you made the pics !

looks like your blizzard now reached Austria. It has been snowing here for 48 hours nonstop and weather reports do not see a change.

At the moment about 1+ meter fresh snow and -12°C.
                            greetings,
                            Philip

In Edmonton, it's rare to get any snowfall over 9-10 inches. This is because it's actually pretty dry during the winter. Also, in some years, the heaviest snowstorms here will often occur in March or even April.

I know the heaviest recorded snowfall in Edmonton was 15 inches (39 cm) way back in 1942. And that was in a November. The heaviest snowfall in one day that I can remember was about 11 inches, or 29 cm, in January of 1989.

Edmonton receives about 48 inches (123 cm) of snow per year on average - but, like the mean temps, it can and does vary tremendously from year to year. Highly variable winters are a fact of life in my province.

One important rule of thumb is that the colder it gets, the less moisture the air is able to hold. Don't be fooled by the amount of snow you may see on the ground in the northern parts of Canada and Alaska, as a lot of times it can go weeks or even months below freezing.

In fact, parts of northern Canada are even drier than many deserts like the Sahara and the Mojave. The Arctic (and the Antarctic, too) are actually more or less polar deserts.
