Its people like her who will cause SARS to rise back up again.
"The Director also sets the record straight on what would happen if oxygen masks were to drop from the ceiling: The passengers freak out with abandon, instead of continuing to chat amiably, as though lunch were being served, like they do on those in-flight safety videos."

"The woman agreed to be hospitalized for psychiatric observation ( 'ya think?) and it was unclear if she would move back into the apartments after they were cleaned and disinfected, officials said. ( that is if she is not found psyco!)

Local officials have swept streets (should the street cleaners be doing that and not the city officials? :P ) and swabbed sidewalks in a high-profile drive to boost Hong Kong's image. Litter-prone residents are being encouraged to keep the city clean ( good idea in this day and age don't you think?) amid concern that severe acute respiratory syndrome might have been spread through the environment.

......boosting my image of the place already.......

Unfortunate, really, that you form your image of such a wonderful city just by this one incident.

Hey Hong Kong got this SARS crap started. I'd take out the whole city if it was up to me. Their the host. And HK is no longer a city to visit on my list. NEVER. It just makes me sick how aweful some places are.

Like you would have ever stepped out of "dear-old-america" anyway.

I don't have time right now, but pretty soon i'll give you a list of reasons as dumb as yours why people shouldn't visit America. :P

Yeah, so you can sit and rot in your non-diverse, non-productive country. It will come down to that if you start kicking all the foreigners out.

Unfortunate that someone had to bring this whole mess to my attention, and to you for underlining it.

Every country has messes. They get cleared up and people move on. Even America has had its messes.....

Yeah, but they will get cleaned up and people will move on. They won't form their impression based on one problem.

have you ever been to a concert where all the songs are preformed to perfection? And then all of a sudden in the middle of one song, somebody flubs a note?
